Subject: Synonym's For Neocon

   Research  by  Greg OConnor

PRE - EMPTIVE  WAR  as in  IRAQ, and coming soon  IRAN.

TORTURE  CHAMBERS  as in  ABU GHRAIB,  and who know's how many other CIA locations around the world.

COMMENTS :
Is this the American Way you stand for ?    Is this the way you would build the image of America around the world ?

It's interesting to note that the founders of  "neoconservatism" and their second generation, who we now refer to as  "neocons",  come from a philosophy that embraces  the theory of  "permanent  revolution".  Look at their literature!    It was the philosophy of none other than  Leon  Trotsky,  revolutionary leader,  Soviet politician,  a close friend of  Lenin,  ardent disciple of  Karl Marx.

And suprise, suprise, the  neocons are the self-professed messengers of:   permanent revolution,  the elimination of our Constitutional rights,  and the destruction of America in the process.

You laugh.  I wish it were a joke !

Subject: Wall St. Journal. Neocon Mouthpiece ?

From  Star Tribune  Editorials,  June 16, 2008

Editors  (GBO)  Note:   Published on the Star Tribune Opinion Page, June 16, 2008,  was a comparison of two editorials  "addressing the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on the rights of detainees at Guantanamo."   The newspapers involved were the N.Y. Times (NYT) and the Wall St. Journal (WSJ).   I think this quote from the NYT nicely sums up the situation to be discussed.

NYT:   "Twice the Supreme Court swatted back his  [ Persident Bush and his advisors-GBO ]  imperial overreaching,  and twice Congress helped Mr. Bush try to open a gaping loophole in the Constitution.   On Thursday,  the court turned back the most recent effort to subvert justice with a stirring defense of habeas corpus,  the right of anyone being held by the government to challenge his confinement before a judge....The right of habeas corpus is so central to the American legal system that it has it's own clause in the Constitution."

"For years,  with the help of compliant Republicans and frightened Democrats,  President Bush [and his advisors] has denied the protections of justice, democracy, and plain human decency to the hundreds of men that HE  [ THEY - GBO ]  DECIDED TO LABEL  'unlawful enemy combatants'  and throw into never-ending detention."

WSJ:   " (Supreme Court Justice Anthony) Kennedy and four other unelected Justices have declared their war-making supremacy over both Congress and the White House."

"Boumediene v. Bush concerns habeas corpus - the right of Americans to challenge detention by the government.   Justice Kennedy has now extended that right to non-American enemy combatants captured abroad trying to kill Americans in the war on terror.   We can say with confident horror that more Americans are likely to die as a result."

NYT:  "It is sobering to think that habeas corpus hangs by a single vote in the Supreme Court of the United States.... The ruling is a major victory for civil liberties - but a timely reminder of how fragile they are."

WSJ:  "But we hope it is not a tragedy for civil liberties in the long run.  If there is another attack on U.S. soil - perhaps one enabled by terrorists released under the Kennedy rules - the public demand for security will trample the Constitutional delicacies of Boumediene."

COMMENTS :
As I read these two editorial opinions,  the positions and phrasology used by the WSJ clearly supports the strengthening of an imperial presidential office.  All that much easier for a situation to develope here in America, as it did in Chile not to many years ago under the Augusto Pinochet  administration.  There, individuals were snatched off the street never to be heard from again....the numbers are in the many thousands!   History has now recorded the stagering civil rights abuse and the deaths of many thousands of inoccent people.

I'm not suggesting that situation is iminent here and now.  What I am suggesting is that the centralization of power is a slippery slope that we don't even want to get close to and one our Constitution keeps us away from.

It bothers me that the editors of the WSJ drop to the level of using scare tactics.  Habaes corpus doesn't turn killers loose on the street.  It simply guarantees they can't "disappear".  I assures they can come before a judge to plead their case and make a public record that they are in the system.

If you look beneath the surface of the Bush Adninistration you will find the neocons,  who are the real benefactors of an imperial Presidency  that will enable them to establish their One World Government.   And the neocons will be there and be in charge long after Bush '43 is gone!

Subject: Why Is Political Lying Acceptable ?

From  Star Tribune,  Opinion Page,  June 16, 2008

Note:  The following was written in 1929,  by American Poet & Essayist  Adrienne Rich.

Webster defines Honor as:  credit or reputation for behavior that is becoming or worthy.

"WE  ASSUME  that politicians are without honor.

WE read their statements trying to crack the code.

The scandals of their politics ?

Not so much that men in high places lie,

Only that  they do so with such indifference,

So endlessly,

Still expecting to be believed !

We are accustomed to the contempt inherent in the political lie."

COMMENTS :
OK, I'll play the devil's advocate.  If the opening line is true,  why would we allow people "without honor" to wield such incredible, unchallenged power,  as we do today?   Power, the abuse of which today,  has taken our Country into an unnecessary war that has murdered more than 4300 of our countrymen,  10's of thousands of innocent civilians,  and cost in treasure more than a trillion dollars !

If politicians are  "without honor"  and we elect to keep them in office,  are we  "without honor" ?

Subject: Canada, U.S., Mexico - No Border Part 6

   comments  by  Greg OConnor,  www.americhris.org

Editors  Note:   The  Trojan  Horse  is at our gate !   It's called the  NAFTA  Superhighway.   To re-cap our last blog, the NAFTA Superhighway will run right up the center of the U.S. from Mexico to Canada,  and will provide for a sovereign Mexican Customs Inspection Facility in Kansas City, Missouri,  the heart of the U.S. !   A major first step in the elimination of our borders and any immigration controls.

There are denials by U.S.officials of course.   But that's what they do.   Knowing that if they deny it often enough,  the masses will come to believe it's true.   And once enough of the plan is physically in place,  a point of no return,  then everyone gives up hope of stopping it and tries to accomodate it.  But the damage is done and it only get's worse.

Take Iraq as an example.   We know getting us in was based on lies and a Congress rushing to judgement without the courage to look beyond the politics of the matter.   Once we were sufficiently involved,  ie. enough Americans had been killed,  then the masses agree we can't leave until some future date that no one knows,  and at a cost in future lives that no one will admit to.

If you are my age you remember the Vietnam experience.  Getting in was based on lies, an aggressive Executive Branch,  and a Congress without a clue.

History confirms that in times of war citizens always give up freedoms,  Constitutional protections are eroded and the size of government always grows.

Now, at the present time, our country is told terrorist attacks are imminent unless we consider issues and changes of policy that are radical but necessary,  and yes they admit boldly,  will require a change in Constitutional  guarantees.

COMMENTS:
Now back to our subject at hand...the new proposed  North  American  Union.

The point man to watch is Professor Robert Pastor of the American University.   I attended his presentation at St. Thomas University, in St. Paul,  several months ago.   It was filled with newsspeak,  half-truths  and the downright denial of the obvious attacks on our national sovereignty.

You would be wrong to look for "front page" stories about this new Union.   Like all major moves to steal our rights,  the steps will be small, under the radar,  but in key areas.  Legislative authority will come thru Executive Orders,  not necessarily the Congress.   If the Congressional legislation is involved,  there will be only key words and phases buried in massive bills thousands of pages in length,  which no Congressperson will read fully before voting as instructed by the leadership.

You need another example?   We spoke earlier of the new currency proposed ...the Amero!   Well, with that in mind, consider the on going attack on the value of the American dollar.   The present administration is even telling us publically that it's necessary to encourage the world to buy out goods and services.   But at what price?   I don't know about you but I don't sell my services internationally,  and prices here at home are adjusting rapidly upwards to account for the collapse in value of the dollar.   If you are a saver the value of your savings has dropped by half over the last 8 years.  What do you think happens when the value of one dollar is equal to one peso.  Canada and the U.S. are almost on par as we speak.

What is the price of  freedom  our Founding Fathers asked?   Eternal  Vigilance!

Be part of that.  Continue to check in at this web site.  Alert your friends and neighbors.

We CAN reverse this movement.
