About Us
Message from the Founder:

This message has developed over many years of civic involvement, study, observation, discussion and travel.  Here is a short history:

Back in the mid 1970's I was a small business owner in the early stages of a 35 year adventure.  The road led me thru the glories and possibilities offered by an economic system known as the "free market" or "private enterprise".

In educating myself to better understand the power and potential of the system I was quickly impressed with the fact that a free market requires certain personal responsibilities.  Hence, I learned there was a parallel road to follow called "civic involvement" or as our country's founders defined it, eternal vigilance.  It required common sense, self education and the expenditure of personal time and treasure.

In 1975, recognizing this responsibility, and after some years of involvement on a smaller scale, I founded with a fellow businessman an organization of grass roots, single issue groups that we called The Minnesota Voters Coalition.  That success was followed in 1979 with the creation of the Americhris Foundation, a 501(C)(3) non-profit, non partisan organization. Americhris Foundation was founded for the purpose of disseminating educational materials and ideas on issues of freedom, limited government, personal responsibility and civil society.

Fast forward now through the politics and events of the '80s and '90s to the present year of 2004, the re-activation of the Foundation and construction of this web site. Over the last several years I have intensified my study, and have undertaken travel to many parts of the world including: Russia and some of it's former satellite countries, Communist China, Vietnam and other Asian and European destinations. My goal: to acquire a first hand understanding of international public policy issues and how they inter-relate to our own.

For additional detail on my background in the areas of education, military, business and civic involvement, please click on my biography.

To further the work of the Foundation, I am pleased to announce that we have formed a Board of Advisors. The Foundation has contracted the services of two research assistants and a technical advisor ready to assist in the development of our Presentations and White Papers.
